... The writer came up with a fun idea and the suggestion of a little character appearing throughout. My task was to make it readable and make it fit. I found a way to do it without cutting any of the text.
... It's awful "cute," I know, but that was the goal going in. And I understand there was a lot of positive reader feedback-- readers call or write most often just to complain.
... Anyway, lotsa fun and I really dug doing it. And I HATE tofu!
